Spanish pianist Daniel García is a key member of the new generation of Spanish Jazz. His eclectic and wide open musical mind,
alongside his clear and lyrical pianism has made him one of the most in demand artists in Europe.
Deeply rooted and trained in different musical genres since childhood, Daniel García finds himself at home in jazz, flamenco
and Spanish folk, classical, rock or electronic music. The work with his trio, alongside cuban artists Reinier “El Negrón” on bass and
Michael Olivera on drums, has raised Spanish Jazz to a new creative milestone, completely personal and recognizable, receiving
rave reviews all over the world and bringing them to some of the most prestigious stages in Europe like Berliner Philharmonie, Ronnie Scott’s,
Duc des Lombards, Tourcoing Jazz Festival, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Düsseldorf Jazzfest, Cracow Jazzfest, Madrid Jazzfest,
Flamenco Biënnale Netherlands, etc…
After the tour-de-force that supposed “Alba”, his first release as a solo artist in 2015, and the lyrical and conceptual journey of
his second album “Samsara.” In 2018, Daniel García Diego has been the first Spanish Jazz artist to sign a contract with awarded German label ACT.
Out of this union came “Travesuras.“ In 2019, a worldwide acclaimed album, followed by an extensive tour all over Europe.
In 2021, the trio released “Vía de la Plata”, its second album for ACT, with jazz stars Ibrahim Maalouf and Anat Cohen as guests, this album shows
the trio at its best, displaying a rare musical empathy between the three musicians. Daniel is releasing his third ACT recording in Autumn 2024,
which will bring a whole new dimension to the trio’s extraordinary emotional palette, establishing it as “the top trio in Europe”.
