In only 5 years of existence, this 7-musician ensemble has sparked audience enthusiasm at over 300 music festivals in Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia. The style of Gabacho Maroc cannot be categorized as world music, African jazz or Gnawa vocal folklore. Or perhaps yes: Gabacho Maroc is all of those at once – a bridge between continents, a constantly reinvented fusion between the wide variety of styles in traditional Moroccan music, the virtuoso technical demands of jazz, and the power of African trance music, resulting in a unique mixture of genres and a spellbinding panorama of sound.
