Flamenco - Jazz
Mujer Klórica uses flamenco as a language of expression, and takes us on a journey through Andalusian folklore, dance, poetry, and jazz. Womanhood and the endeavor to open up flamenco to other musical influences are the two pillars of this artistic project.
The texts point out socio-cultural difficulties experienced by women, while highlighting the significance of women in the course of history, and the important roles they have played in the upheavals of modern times. With José Manuel León’s virtuoso guitar accompaniment, this ensemble creates a variegated, powerful, up-to-date musical universe.
