Vincent Thomas
Vincent Thomas began his musical journey at a very young age with the piano, eventually choosing the drums in his teens. At the age of 20, he became a professional musician and decided to settle in the Basque Country, where he began his career as a drummer and drum teacher.
Also a guitarist and composer, he graduated from the Higher Conservatory of Jazz of San Sebastian in 2006 and has accompanied several artists on the world-jazz scene in France and Spain.
His collaborations with Antonio Lizana, Nico Wayne Toussaint, Gabacho Maroc, Mikel Andueza, Les Elégantes Machines, Ermanno Panta, Yassa, Txakun, Erika Y Los Lopez... have taken him to stages around the world (Jazz à Vienne, Quebec Summer Festival, Montreal Jazz Fest, Calcutta Jazz Fest, Festival Cervantino, Etnosur, Mawazine, Jazz in Marciac, Visa For Music...).
Passionate about world music, he created the Gabacho project with which he has released 3 albums, including "Tawassol," hailed by the specialized press as one of the best world music albums of 2018.
