Drummer, producer, and composer Michael Olivera is an essential figure in contemporary jazz and Cuban music. After more than 60 albums and collaborations with artists such as Quincy Jones, Alfredo Rodriguez and Richard Bona, Michael presents the Cuban Jazz Syndicate, a group that brings together a magnificent bouquet of Cuban musicians living in Spain.
The Cuban Jazz Syndicate offers music strongly imbued with Cuban rhythms and Yoruba culture, but also marked by jazz. Propelled by a volcanic rhythm section featuring Alejandra López on double bass, sumptuous brass, and an imperial piano, this 6tet takes us on a one-way trip to the famous Caribbean island.
